Gamestop Releases Android Tablets Geared Towards Gamers
Gamers can now get their hands on a selection of Android tablets that cater specifically for their needs. The retail gaming vendor Gamestop has released three different Android tablets that have been outfitted as gaming devices that their customers can use. There is a choice between the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for $499, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer for $399 and the 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 for $329.
These tablets have been transformed into gaming devices as there are six different titles that come with each tablet. These include Monster Madness, Dead Space, Cordy, Sonic CD, Re-Load and Riptide GP, and should prove to be a big incentive for customers to purchase the devices.
As well as these included games, the tablets also come with the Kongragate Arcade Android app. This provides an online portal for gamers where they can access over 500 free games. This will be great for consumers as online, portable gaming is becoming very popular.
The ability to take your games with you, in the same way as you carry your O2 – Samsung Galaxy phone in your pocket is becoming a necessity for many people and if these tablets allow them to access many games from their device then this should be very useful. With the Kongregate Arcade Android app, users will be able to compete against others remotely, as well as share reviews and comments about games with each other.
These special Android tablets will also offer users a wireless gaming controller for an extra $39. This controller will resemble the likes of Microsoft’s Xbox, will run on Bluetooth and be rechargeable. If users have old games and consoles, then they can even use these as part of Gamestop’s trade-in program. Customers will be able to bring in their old games, consoles, accessories and even iPods and iPhones which will go towards their purchase of a tablet.
